About Vela

Vela is a constellation in the southern hemisphere. Its name in Latin means “the sails”. Vela was first catalogued by a Greek astronomer in the 2nd century as part of a larger constellation representing a whole ship.

For thousands of years the constellations served to guide explorers. When journeying through uncharted land and sea, the night sky offered a sense of place and security to travelers.

Today, as you journey through fertility, pregnancy, and parenthood, Vela is here to support you. We offer a place for you to be heard, to be yourself, and to find a moment of pause on your journey.
